Recently I saw a facebook status message that read, "In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends." I didn't realize until today that it was a quote from Martin Luther King, Jr. I have been surprised, if not hurt, by the silence from some people whom we trusted and called friends, but at the same time, amazed by the love and kindness that has come from some friends that we didn't even really know that we had.

Silence of Friends
Recently I saw a facebook status message that read, "In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends."
