Jenny has been using my childhood Bible and recently I noticed that there were many papers, notes and bookmarks in it. Most of them were mine so I decided to take them out and put away what I wanted to keep. I found this poem that I had copied onto a piece of paper. I don't remember where it came, who wrote it or why it was in my Bible but it is so fitting for how we feel right now.
I am looking forward, very much, to the time when we will once again be able to talk and just be together.
It's surprising how often
I think of you,
turn to speak to you,
and realize
you're not right there
as I expect you to be.
I guess I hold you
so close in thought
that it's hard
to undersatnd sometimes
that you aren't close
in person.
But I wanted
to let you know
I'm thinking of you
and wishing we could talk
and just be together
awhile.
You're really missed!
It hurts my heart to know that you're in such great pain... just know that you're in our thoughts and prayers!
ReplyDeletePerfect thoughts - from a hurting momma's heart. God bless your day, today.
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog. We lost our 2.5 year old daughter on September 7, 2009. Just wanted to let you know that I am right there beside you, trying desperately to find a way through this pain.
